We celebrated V's birthday just like I wanted--with just the four of
us. I didn't want any ridiculous party she wouldn't remember or
outrageous cleaning duties to frazzle my mind during the day. I just
wanted to spend the day with my girls.
Sadly, my girls
were totally grumpy so we basically tried to survive the day rather than
enjoy it. V missed her morning nap and was overly clingy. Mya was such a
terrible listener and decided to destroy my kitchen and front room by
splashing her "pie" everywhere. Her pie consisted of flour, salt and
water. DISASTER. By the time we reached the afternoon naptime, I just
wanted to hide under my covers, which I gratefully did. I was able to
finish the cupcakes just in time to celebrate the special day with Tim
during his hour break from work.
The cupcakes looked
terrible, but they tasted great. I am so glad my only critics cared
about the flavor. V definitely loved the spotlight and devoured the
frosting in seconds. She smashed the cupcake all over her tray and in
her hair. Both girls were quickly dunked in the bath.
Happy birthday V. You are so very important to all of us. We love you.
