Peoria friends

Mya was able to visit her beloved friends last weekend. She has missed Ben and Crew terribly. It was such a treat to hear her running around laughing with other kids. It just doesn't happen too much around here. We can't wait to see them again.

V insists on carrying a backpack around the house. She is just dying to be as big as her sister. She follows her around and does what she does. It makes me smile. How could you not smile at that smile?

this is how we do leaves

Boy can our neighborhood produce piles of leaves. We have so many leaves to keep me busy for weeks. I've already lost several hours of my life and probably a few pounds raking the fallen masterpieces. I'd rake and Tim would use the leaf blower. F.Y.I. Raking is so much better at getting the leaves than the leaf blower, but the leaf blower saved Tim several hours. And those hours were important during the World Series. It's just a bummer that Detroit couldn't produce hits so we probably should've skipped watching the series all together.

Don't you love how the we do leaves? Mya danced, V smiled and I photographed the whole dang thing.

sunday morning painting

Painting always entertains our girls. They love getting it all over themselves...and the paper. This was our fun Sunday morning activity before church.

Trying to take a decent picture of these three is nearly impossible. These were the best I could get in the fifteen minutes I wrestled with them to sit still and smile for the camera. Luckily, I happen to love what I got.

five week photoshoot

I snapped some quick pictures of Elle while the other peanuts took their morning bath. It is impossible to get a good picture of her when they are around because they will not leave her alone.

mya and elle

Mya usually wakes up much too early. It's a fact and there's no getting around it. Sometimes I love hearing her footsteps run into my room--sometimes I don't. This morning was a good morning where I didn't feel totally dead to the world so she was a welcomed guest in  my bed. We snuggled with Elle like we usually do and watched Tangled on my iPod. They will sit together for a long time. I find her gentleness towards Elle very sweet. She loves her baby.

When she doesn't wake up grumpy (which unfortunately has happened a lot lately), this little ham is an absolute joy in the morning. I usually hear her jumping up and down in her crib waiting for me to come get her. She just makes me smile.

 This happens multiple times a day...V lays on Elle and searches for her binkie. 

 She then proceeds to shove the binkie in her mouth, even if she is dead asleep...and she always makes her cry. then i scold her and ask her to get off.

she always hangs her head in shame and calms herself by running her fingers through her hair. 

Let's just say we are still adjusting.

We are in love with Elle. I'm dead tired and a little frazzled, but she is so worth it. I can't even remember what life was like without her.

her quilt

My grandma and her quilting group made this amazing quilt for little Elle. I laid her on it the other day for her naptime, and she loved it. Thanks again grandma!
