big sister

Mya is a fantastic sister. She worships our little Elle and wants to do everything with her. I love watching the two of them together. I do believe Mya has stolen her heart.

rice cereal

Little Elle had her first experience with rice cereal (or soup, if you will), and she didn't like it. I don't think she tried any of it. It barely went in before it came rushing out. She doesn't seem interested in it at all. So we'll try again in the future.

epic fail: v's big girl bed

 

We put V in a big girl bed two weeks ago, and well...she's back in a pack 'n play. I don't know why it didn't work out, but it didn't. She wasn't ready. We're going to try again soon. Once I have the energy to have the little dear in and out of our room all night. 

Visiting with Mannie and Hayden

I should just start by saying I had a great time with Mannie and Hayden. I hadn't seen them (except for Skype) in two years and two weeks. It was the first chance they had to meet both V and Elle. It was a delight to have them, and they are sorely missed. 

While here, we visited a local jungle gym, Mya's preschool, the Milwaukee zoo, the children's museum and Red Robin. The kids played well 70% of the time so I will call that a real success. What can you expect? They are 4 and 5 so it can be a little difficult at times. 

 Can we just take a minute and talk about the fact that Mya has a really intense mad face? Don't know where she got that from...
