this week at our house

We've been having a lot of fun around here with Whitney and her girls. I think Mya might be devastated the day they leave. She's been begging me for friends, and I don't think she understands that Avey actually lives in Oregon and not in the next bedroom. I fear Monday night when I have to break the bad news.

I just love this little baby. I want to nibble on her cheeks all day long and would do it if I could, but I am sadly interrupted a lot. The lighting in the hospital was terrible so it was hard to get really good pictures, but I do think we got a few good ones. Don't ask me why the nurses put that ridiculous hat on her head when she was born. I guess one nurse thought it was cute and our babe fell victim to a terrible fashion statement. We took it off and threw it in the garbage as soon as we could.

Elle is a really great baby so far. We love having her with us and only hope she'll remain little for at least a little while.

How can you not love that wide toothy/gummy smile? She still only has ten teeth but man...I'm not sure I want her to get anymore. I love this smile.

I love how her eyes shine like the crystals on her crown when she feels like a princess. She is our princess, and we love everything about her.

first day of preschool

 (I had to take this picture because before Mya got out of the car because she insisted on sticking Mr. Bear's ear in her nose (it's her comfort thing--weird...I know). After a minute of snuggling him, she decided she could leave him behind.

sunday mornings

we have a lot of time to kill on sunday mornings so we have to do a variety of activities to keep the kids entertained. today we took a walk around the neighborhood and played with the camera when we arrived home. both girls love the camera and ask to take pictures daily.
